Gwynne wondered aloud. "Shouldn't we do something about that poor bastard still trapped downstairs...? Oh, sorry." she snapped back to the present and considered the question. "Well... I could drive her but..." she shuffled her feet awkwardly. "Well, the truth of the matter is... I've... never learned how to drive a car." she cleared her throat in embarrassment. "Perhaps, Thalali, you could drive this car on ahead to look for Storm, since Bakilas isn't interested in that, and we could get a second car."

The ghoul touched the human lightly on the arm. "Will you be alright?" she asked gently. Gwynne was, after all, at least half human still, and knew what it felt like to have your entire world change because of one chance encounter...

ooc- Just to make it clear, I mean for Thalali to travel alone in the car to look for Storm, and Bakilas, Gwynne, and human get another car. [img]smile.gif[/img]

Thalali runs across the road, jumps into a nice blue car. He turns the key, adjusts the seat, and drives away. He wanders the streets of the neighborhood looking for Storm.

Bakilas dreamily runs his hands over the red '69 corvette and looks up at Gwynne, "Are you sure we need to take another vehicle? I am sure the human would fit in the boot..."

After searching the neighborhood and not finding Storm, Thalali speeds off too different subdivisions, each time he found no clue as to where Storm was.

Somewhere in the daze, somewhere in the mist that fogged up her mind, she heard two words. Words that sent another bout of shivers running down her spine, yet it seemed as if nothing could surpass the magnitude of horror that had bombarded her mind since she first opened her eyes after going to bed with Beaulieu...

Mortal. ~ So these are not mortals... ~ Vampires again. Could they possibly be less terrifying than that sick-minded scientist? She could only hope... Casino. ~ She was being taken to a casino. Yet, which one? ~ Does it really matter, Mistral? ~ A sneer came to her lips ~ All you need to know is that one of the casinos around here, at least, is a vampire's den.

Why then, did she feel nothing? Why were the words hurling themselves against her brain but bouncing off, leaving both sides unscathed? How could she sit here among a group of vampires, softly giggling to herself when her safety was far from secured, and her fate, yet unknown?

What was the world coming to, anyway? Why could it not leave her alone?

The hurricane of bewildered questions continued to parry with her equally stubborn mind, while the car rounded off road bends with alarming speed and came finally to a screeching halt.

The lonley immortal had made it back to the casino. He walked in, not caring about the fact that blood stained his shirt, and wandered up to his room that was above. He slammed the door and sat in his chair.
