It wasn't in the article, but it's described as 13 million digits long. I don't know if it could be displayed in a single post. Perhaps displayed as an equation, but who knows.

Probably the easiest way to displasy it in a single post is as the formula (as before):

Mn = 2P-1, where M is the Mersenne prime, n, is the numeric value of the prime generating the Mersenne prime, as is P, the power. In this case P is 43,112,609

i.e.

M = (2 to the power 43,112,609) - 1

Mersenne primes are a subset of primes within which Mn can only be a prime if n is also a prime.

Just to note that this one was actually discovered 23 August, but only announced in September, in addition to the prime for 37,156,667 which was discovered 6 September.
