Yeah, like Spiritwarrior said. You'll improve hit rating from Precision talent. And also from items that gives you + hit rating.

For pvm (raiding especially) - You'll need 308 hit rating (forgot what percentage it is ) to never miss an attack ( somewhere along that line ). However trying to achieve such stat will severly gimp your other stats like crit, dodge etc. Try to make a balance of it, a 200 hit rating (or 12%) is ok.

For pvp - You'll need at least 80 hit rating or 5% to never miss a special attack.

Well, I can't do more BGs till I get to 46 as I accidentally dinged 40 when I was trying to get a PvP item - I went in at level 40 and it was not pleasant!

I prefer outdoor pvp to anything... That's when theyre least expecting an attack and is more fun Being an undead rogue, ganking priests/locks is easy stuff. You know theyre gonna pew pew fear so ill just pop a WoTF. My UD rogue is 45 atm and Troll rogue is 66. I dont like my troll very much though.. And also yes, being an altlicous player like myself really places you in front of other classes. Word of warning though.. you tend to lose your leetness as a class with the more alts you play.

If you play a PvE server then.. Flag yourself. Its always fun testing your skill with the element of surprise.

Well, I got to 49 and have been doing heaps of BGing, all in WSG as I'm trying to get some PvP rewards. We've been doing pretty well actually, winning about 50% of the time.

Can you guys check out my toon and see if there is anything I can improve for pvp (short of re-speccing Shadowstep or Mutilate as I want to stay combat swords spec for levelling). Any tips for a combat swords rogue in pvp? I know I don't generate CPs that often but I've been trying to overcome that shortcoming by dealing damage, or using KS even when I only have 3 CPs.

I think I have decent weapons now, but not sure about my armor.

You might want to seriously consider trying the Mutilate build. With mutilate build, you can stunlock an opponent from 100-0 as the combo point generation is insane. Also, since Mutilate build is a burst damage build, you'll find that you can kill opponent in a few hits unlike the combat sword build.

Mutilate build is excellent for pve too, since you can generate combo points so fast, you can virtually kill a monster without them hitting you back via stunlocking them 100-0. Also, since monsters aren't hitting you back, there is a less need to eat/bandage yourself after every fight. The only drawback with this build is that you can't handle 3 to 4 monsters at a time unlike a combat sword build. Nevertheless, it's still worth taking.

You need two hard hitting daggers for mutilate build. Daggers with 1.80 speed are excellent for this build. Try it, you might fell in love with the build. Other than the old faithful combat sword build, mutilate build is my second choice of rogue build.

Don't people see you when you stealth though Burnzey? I went in at 45 and they could see me coming, so I waited till 48.

He might have put some points into master of deception (MoD) talent. Which increases his stealth level and makes it harder for people to see him.

Well, I respecced and put 10 points into Subtlety (5 into MoD and 5 into Camo), 5 into Malice (for the crit) and the rest into Combat and it's working for my playing style much better now!

http://www.wowarmory.com/character-t...n&n=Scabandari

I was able to afford the following upgrades:

WSG - Forest Stalkers Bracers, Protectors Ring, Sentinels Medallion
AB - Highlanders Leather Boots
General - Insignia of the Alliance

On a personal note I think I'm really getting the hang of it now - I have about 1800 hks so far and I killed a twink warrior one on one and have taken down 2 decent opponents at the same time which is not bad for combat spec I think!

My record at WSG is probably about 40% W - 60% L which is pretty good I think (mainly because I've ended up with a core group of people from different servers who play at the same time, and we're starting to know each other's roles pretty well.

I started AB for the first time last Sat and geez it was frustrating - I think I probably had a W-L ratio of 20%-80% because the Alliance people I was playing with were mainly:

1. idiots
2. disorganised idiots
3. whingers
4. defeatist
5. knobs

The three or four games we won we won by being coordinated and by communicating, and by people knowing their roles and sticking to them. We had a great game where we totally owned the Horde 2000-200 or something - we used their own tactics on them (took Stables, then LM, Mines and BS early, then moved the front line to the farm and caught them in a continually respawning cycle of death.

Sadly that was the only time it worked well for us - every other win (all 3 or 4 of them) was hard fought and long. Too often nobody on our team would communicate, or when they did it was to have a whinge about how we were going to lose in 10 mins (really motivating stuff that) and too often getting caught up in trying to be heroes fighting in the corridors between nodes (real smart stuff that).

Even more pointless was that we were getting owned the way that Horde wanted us to get owned - even Blind Freddy could see that if you have ZERO nodes and they have 4, then they will be perfectly content to engage you away from the flags as all the time you're fighting they are earning resources and you are not. You'd think that if people have elementary school educations they should at least be able to figure this out, but no. And once they move the front line to the stables then you know you're really farked as the morons on your team continually kill themselves in a futile attempt to get the stables back while the other four Horde nodes sit unguarded and making money. And the clincher - the last game I played I took on the role of coordinator (which everyone at Alliance hates - all the "who made u the boss nub ur so gaaaaaayyyy" comments come out when you try to organise these clowns) - I tried to keep it simple and said 5-5-5, Grp 1 to LM, Grp 2 to GM, Grp 3 to BS and Grp 3 DON'T FORGET TO CAP STABLES FIRST. Guess what? Nobody capped the fuken stables!!

It's fun though - I'm feeling the way you guys probably felt when you first got into BGs. If only the Alliance folks listened once in a while.

How do you fight similarly-leveled locks on your troll rogue? I can use my IotA to remove fear and DoTs once, but then they fear me again when I'm trying to close and then I can't keep up with them.

I've killed some of the dumber ones, but once my Sprint and IotA are on CD I'm screwed as they keep spamming Fear and DoTs on me while running away.
