terrorist

noun
a radical who employs terror as a political weapon; usually organizes with other terrorists in small cells; often uses religion as a cover for terrorist activities

Definition courtesy of dictionary.com

anywho, as far as that def. is concerned, our troops (who's presence may or may not be warranted in the middle east) are not terrorists.

As such, yeah, that makes Rosie's position flawed to say the least. But as it's been stated the U.S. is a "free" nation, you say just about anything you want and get away with it. You can even spread anti-government propaganda if you want. People are burning the flag all the time. Doesn't mean I like it or agree with it. People are free to be wrong if they want to be. Kinda weird, but it's the truth.
Only thing is....I'm a female and I did kinda say that I wish they'd deport her. Although, I don't think Rosie'd mind. I mean she's obviously not happy in the US right? So let's send her elsewhere.
But I appreciate the support anyway!

I honestly cant see why anyone watches any of these talk shows she does/has done. She is obviously clueless about....pretty much everything. Though I would watch a Celebrity Deathmatch between her and Donald Trump.

Doesnt this thread belong in CE? Maybe? Anyway...
I havent heard exactly what was said but I have some thoughts.

You can't blame the troops for the policy-makers which put them there.

They have orders to kick in doors and round all em up. They have clearance to shoot to kill in defense. Bombing the wrong house and killing civilians is worth the price (so I hear) if the "bad" guy is caught or killed.

With the use and threat of violence naturally comes fear and terror. Causing fear in the enemy is a design goal of military action. So while the troops may not be "Terrorists" they most certainly can and do cause terror.

Also every bunch has it's bad apples. So crimes have been comitted by service members and more will like in any society. Doesn't mean jack unless you believe generalities and stereotypes.

All this talk of the troops and Rosie is a giant red herring. The military leadership and the political civilian leadship deserve our highest level of scrutiny and skepticism. They have already failed.

Obviously mistakes have been widespread in the Iraq Policy for the outcome of Iraqi society is FAR from what was promised and the death rates simply horrific. The fact alot of the same failure-makers who brought us here are still in charge should be more alarming than Rosie running her mouth.

As for Rosie being loud, opinionated, and controversial..well that is her schickt. This very thread is some proof she does it well.

If we weren't such a fascist/alarmist nation, I might disagree with Rosie. She is a fat windbag, but I must agree with the FACT that our nation pushed it's military might into the middle east with virtually no pretext, save some sick idea of revenge, under a false pretense. Those idiots will be fighting forever, whether we are there or not, so why are we there? Now it seems to be a way to prop up a weak economy. If we are honest with ourselves, we would find that there is no reason to be in Iraq. If we were using our military might to find Osama BinLaden....come on! He'd be dead just like we assassinated Saddam (under the guise of "war crimes" or some such crapola). Our countries' motto should be "do as I say, not as I do, or I'll come and kick your doors in and bomb the crap out of you!"

The issue LM isn't whether we should be there or not, but rather a disagreement with 'her' calling our troops terrorists, which by definition and in most cases acutality is a mis-nomer.

At any rate I'm thinking this thread was started as a rant, if it wants to turn into a debate, perhaps it should be moved to the CE forum as chewbacca suggested.

At any rate I trust those who are in a position to, who live in our country and disagree with our current policies are excercising their rights contacting state reps, congress persons and voting accordingly and not just spouting off irritations.

Absolutely, to everything to you said. And I don't think we are terrorists....we just have fascist leadership. And being a veteran, I have every respect for our men & women in uniform, I'd just like to lynch those who decide where they are deployed and for what reasons!

Well she did get kicked off the view (at least everyone suspects she was asked to leave) because of her mouth. Free speech or no she does have a mouth, lol.

Still, The View's ratings were bigger than ever simply because of the controversy she added. Many predict she will be back with her own show again. I liked Rosie when she was a comic...
