yup, i would say that is what happened. From my time in retail, if a customer is pissed off, you come up with ANY crap possible to blame someone else.
I once said the reason for someones product arriving late was because the factoy in Shanghai had had an earthquake, when it was just someone else in the store had forgotten to order it. Makes note not to buy anything (reasons, particularly
 )from Captain O!Larry, that's very odd indeed. Glad you checked it out. It sounds like the guy made up most of the 'deal' or was just plain being strange...any chance he was sipping from a whisky bottle while walking around the neighborhood?
