Not me, others. A lot of my information comes from the experiences of others as well. I read about them and remember them. Rather interesting what little tidbits you can pick up here and there.

There's actually another way of dealing with Arkanis: Have a Priest cast Death Ward on whoever has the most hitpoints, usually your Tank. Give your Tank the Flail of the Ages, and have him attack somebody. Arkanis should warp in right next to him, and because Death Ward protects you against anything that can kill you in 1 hit, Arkanis's sword only does 10 or so damage per hit. Flail of the Ages slows Arkanis's Attacks per Round, and you can lead him into a little room.

I, too, heard about this trick from somebody else--I don't think I would ever have thought of it on my own. I would have thought of Protection from Magic Weapons, though.

yeah... dismiss all characters.. even when you got Imoen back in the asylum, just kick her out... you can go and complete the game without any assistance... but usually i take V to open up the planar sphere.. and Cernd for the duel in the Druid's grove.... there are others who totally don't agree with this...

Just out of interest, what level did you dual class at, and which class did you start with?

BTW, Mantle and Improved mantle work as well (only for 4(?) rounds though)

If you are looking for nice thief gear, go do Renal Bloodscalp's quest
You get: Short sword +2, Boots of stealth(hide in shadows +15%, move silently +20%), Shadow armor+3 (+15% hide in shadows), other nice stuff. You can also get the gloves of pick-pocketing from upstairs in the back of the Copper Coronet (+20% to pick-pockets). Beware that you will be un-able to join Bohdi if you have the guild.

I started with a fighter:

**** in katanas
** in dualling

I dualled him at lvl. 7 (right away) to a thief

he is currently at lvl 16 as a thief

he´s got the stronghold for the thieves and he´s done the trademeet, circus tent, slavers quest and the harper quest...the one with Renfeld
