Egg. From an evolutionary standpoint, the first chicken must have come from an egg laid by a creature not quite a chicken yet.

Hahahaha, I knew a thread like this would come around soon...But it was obviously the Egg, something went wrong, the egg was a deformed mistake, and out came a chiken-like creature that later became the chiken.

Hmm I was going from an evolutionary standpoint and came up with chicken... I'll admit my knowledge of evolution is limited though

I'm with you, Aelia Jusa -- it's like, some poor freak chicken started having eggs instead of little chicks like all her cool friends, and was thus outcast from the civilized chick-laying society...

Then eggs became the trendy thing to do, so all the other chickens started doing the egg thing, and here we are today...

Evolution follows fashion!

It could be the chicken, it could be the egg... or it could of been both.
But in this situation I believe that it was the chicken.
If you think logically if the egg was there first there would have not been anything there to keep it warm, no mother, no father... so therefore it wouldn't have survived.
