Minor nitpick: iirc, Bruce Lee started out in Wing Chun and then experimented with a number of other martial arts (including boxing and fencing). He developed a training/fighting philosophy and style based on his learning, and called it Jeet Kune Do.

(Can you tell that my best friend studies kung fu and is the biggest Bruce Lee enthusiast in the world?)
True dude. Wu Shu certainly isn't one of the styles Bruce Lee's designed. But for purposes of explaining what it's like I figured I'd compare it to a certain famous martial artist. But hey, as you point out, Jet Li may have been a more poignant comparison

I used to do Zen-du-kai. I wasn't even sure what it was, and had never heard of it. It didn't really appeal to me, and I got a sore back, so I stopped it a few years ago.

Lauren, I am curious: How might one know tae kwon do, staff fighting, and knife fighting, without practicing? I'm guessing you meant you used to practice, or something, but your wording is rather ambiguous.

I love martial arts. I'm really sad, now, though, I haven't gotten to train for a while because of work.
(Shao Lin Do, Hakido, Hakijitsu, and possibly others incorporated.)

but I do know Tae Kwon Do, Staff fighting, knife fighting and basic women's self defence

you mean you know SOME tae kwon do, staff fighting, knife fighting and basic womens self defense.

it is both reprehensable and innacurate to state that you know ALL about an art, unless you happen to be a grand master, which, if you dont practice, you are most likely not.
