yes, I can taste the difference in all of them
pepsi, a little more carbonation, and a different flavor, coke sweeter and flatter, do not get me started on the diet stuff, you can tell if you are used to regular

coke vs pepsi-- pepsi has a tangy-er taste due to higher carbonation, and lower sugar content. my preference is coke.

cola vs. diet cola-- the (not)sugar used in diet soda leaves an aftertaste that makes me want to wash it out with a real soda.

coke vs. off brand coke-- this is probably the hardest, since RC cola comes to mind and its the closest approximation to coke that i can think of.

I was the first one to vote, (I think) but I'm just posting now. I can only distinguish a few types of soda:
grape
orange
lemon-lime (Sprite, 7up, and stuff like it)
Mr. Pibb/Dr. Pepper
All other types taste the same to me.

It's so easy... come on!

Cokes really strong, Pepsi weaker in strength and tastes sweeter also. With the Coke, it's like it's strength is balancing out the sweetness.

For diet, their sweeteners really tastes funky. I don't like the taste. Diet tastes so artificial.

As for the cheap brands here, easy to drink and are mostly sweet.

thats because mr. pibb didnt go through 8 years of med school. actually, Dr. Pepper is prune juice flavored, while mr. pibb is a rip off that is based more strongly on cola ingredients than on prune juice.

I have no idea why, but I can definitely taste the difference.....maybe it's because I have really sensitive taste buds

I can definatly taste the difference between Coke and Pepsi. I don't know about diet because I never drink it.

...I would rather have Dr. Pepper anyway

You guys get Dr pepper up in central Queensland I dont recall seeing it for sale in west sydney. I must give it a try one day.

As for coke and pepsi.... both are sickly sweet. Give me diet vanilla coke if i have to have a soda or Schweeps indian tonic water
