Wow, you cut off your hair??
When did that happen? Warning: Stuff you hear a thousand times every day ALERT! You know if I had your hair I'd neeeever cut it, etc etc.
Seriously though, I'm sure it looks cool. I'm letting mine grow again, however. But I needn't really bother, I don't have that much hair to speak of. :S

I comb my hair back, so I suppose that falls under the category "I'm wierd ( or bald)..."

LOL I had my hair for 5 years and it was great - but it really was time for a change . It's a bit above my shoulders, but layered a lot, kind of a bit like Sarah Jessica Parker's was when she was pregnant. I do think it looked better long but I really was in a hair rut. And it's getting really wavy and annoying - I thought I'd cut it all off and start over! It's good too, I don't have to pin it up after washing now because it doesn't saturate the back of my shirt anymore!

You see boys? Normal people have parts

Did it take 5 years to grow your hair, or did you maintain it at that length for 5 years? I've always wondered what it would be like to have hair that long, but never had the patience to go through the 'annoying' stages where it constantly gets stuck in your eyes and such. I had neck-length hair when I was about 15 (I as shamelessly trying to emulate Jonathan Davis from Korn, adidas 3-stripes and all ). Do you prefer the feeling of long hair or short hair? Looks are one thing, but I just find that short hair feels better. Like, it does as it's told more and is less of a nuisance

I believe Barry the Sprout would be the resident expert on long male hair. The pictures I've seen on Stealthy's of his lustrous locks are quite impressive. Unfortunately he'd chopped them all off by the time I met him last year.

Right now I don't have a part per se. I just put some 'fudge' on my fingertips, run my fingers back through my hair a few times, then push it foward again. After doing that, however it looks is however it looks. If that means there is a part, so be it, if not, well, that's fine too

No, 5 years at the same length. My hair grows fairly fast; I could probably get it back to that length in 7 or 8 months. Actually after I got it cut short I left it too long till my next cut and it was all long and unmanageable - I'm not used to having regular haircuts! I used to just go whenever I remembered or uni holidays - every 2 months or so. Now 5 weeks on the dot.

I can't really comment on really short hair, having never had hair less than chin length, but having long hair was never a problem in terms of having it in my eyes - if anything that's more of a problem now with all the layering. One of my provisos in any haircut is that I can still tuck it behind my ears so it doesn't flop about . Plus short hair is a lot more maintenance in terms of styling - long hair you can just blow dry, now I have to actually BLOWDRY - that is with clips and round brush and product and all that hooha. Barry the Sprout's hair was something! It was way longer than mine ever was from the photo I saw of it!

It's a never-ending struggle isn't it? But you're happy with the way you've got it going on now?

I have very long hair! (I usually have to keep it up in a ponytail at the crown and then another at the top of my neck and braid the second ponytail just to keep from sitting on it!) But on the weekends, when I don't have to work, I leave it down. The part naturally falls in the middle. If I'm going out with friends, though, I curl it and part it to the left (just enough to let my curls fall partially over my face).
