I like bg1 mostly because it was the first and in my opinion sequals are programers ways to try and make more money without coming up with a fresh idea.

Cannot really say anything about ToB as I have only just got it and haven't played it yet, so I may change my opinion as to BGII SoA being the best later.

Baldurs Gate 1, by far. Not only did I play this one before BG2, it simply has that overwhelming feeling of mystery and impressiveness over it... Can't really describe it, but it's literally packed with quests. With BG2 I have the feeling I've solved about every single existing quest in the game at least three times, with BG1 I still have the feeling I've missed a large part of all the available quests. Heck, every time I decide to replay it, I stumble upon new things... I don't think I'm able to describe it any more accurate. [img]smile.gif[/img]

I like ToB the most, then its a tie between BGI and BGII.
