i usually have mostly male characters, cuz i am a male so its much easier for RP value. i usually mix in at least one female as one of the weaker classes tho (you can tell how i feel about the feminist movement). my leader is a male at all times, except for when i was trying my sorcerer in bg2, and that ended when she died too many times. so im extremely biased toward males, even tho they arent always the leaders (but usually are).

I dont mind playing as a female character in other games but if I have a choice in the creation I always go with male pc cause its easier to identify with being a man and all

I just have more confidence in the gender for fighting monsters than I do the female, you know, the way we scream and run from bugs and everything LOL!

Moni

On a serious note, RPG's are gender biased and I like to have a strong party.

Hehe, then you should have seen me when my arachnophobia was as it worst and a spider landed on my face and woke me up... that was screaming and running I tell you!

I generally play a mixed team. Naturally, I identify more with female characters, but I have no difficulty with having teams that are mostly male. As for those who have difficulty with female fighters.... well... I was in the Air Force, and I sure as heck don't have a difficulty with female fighters. In fact, we tend to be a bit nastier, especially when the ibuprofen is not available at the right time of the month. Watch out, me laddies.... As for an all female team, that wouldn't be much fun for me. Life is a mix of the sexes.. much healthier that way!!

Monk PC

Maddy
Aerie
Jahiera
Imoen

and Valygar? from memory because Viconia upset Aerie

I usually bias towards males because the game biases towards males (mainly in strength and attribute bonuses), but I like to develop out the female characters too. I appreciate the games that allow you to develop either one without significant penalties on the basis of gender.

Sazerac? The character creation screen of all the BG games and IWD says there is NO difference in attributes, etc, between male/female characters, if I remember correctly. Is there something I missed on that? Or, despite the claim, is it not true in practice?

I think LOTS of us can identify with that Wolfgir! I have pretty well cured my own phobia, but I think it would come into action in those circumstances!
I don't mind spiders even in my bedroom any more though. (Try keeping the blighters out!)
I found one in the sleeve of my dressing gown a few days ago - after I had put it on! I felt this cold, soft lump against my bare arm. I didn't have my spectacles on, fortunately, so I was able to tell myself it was a moth when I removed my arm from the sleeve and saw the dark shape of it before I shook it out. THEN I put my specs on and saw it was a spider, lol! It is still here, lurking in a corner above the computer..
