Never, never, NEVER EVER EVER speak the name of the Scottish Play in a theatre! NEVER! I used to think it was silly, and I let it slip one evening. Not two hours later, all the lights in the theatre went out in the middle of a show, and I WAS WORKING THE SOUNDBOARD. They went out for absolutely no reason at all, and it was quite easily one of the most terrifying things to ever happen to me as a thespian. Now, I'm not saying that speaking the name of the cursed play caused that, but there is literally no other way to explain that... Not even our lighting professor can figure it out.

Don't EVER say that something won't happen...Becasue it will.
Today I was walking down to reception to get my lunch when I spoke with one of the other ERT's(Emergency Responce Team) and we were saying how we didn't think there would be any problems during the shutdown that is currently going on in our Ore treatment facility, we specifically mentioned an incident that happened last shutdown, where the copper concentrate dried and released sulfer dioxide, but we had washed the entire facility down this time last week and that should have prevented it from happening again..... About 5 seconds after saying that, the evacuation alarm went off, and I spent the next 5 hours isolating and removing Sulfer Dioxide from the damn building :sigh: |
