My only response to that speech is;

..... LOL .....

I think the man is suffering from paranoia, hallucinations and/or delusions. Couple this with a hatred of Bush and look at the highly entertaining results!

I suppose if it were true then this contriversial "whistleblower" will be "silenced" by some sort of MIB (Men in Black) equivalent, and all knowledge of the aliens - including this post, will be removed from everyone's memory and all trace will be...

what was I talking about again?

Noooo, the nature of these things is to just ignore it.

You see, if they try to silence this sort of thing, it validates it, because it shows theres something to be hidden.

No, much better to just blink a few times and laugh, add some history of mental illness to the person who's spoken out, and oh dear, they aren't as credible anymore.

Best way to cover something up, make up rumours about the events, blow so out of proportion that people just shake their heads and walk away.

Aliens ARE real! I myself just got a lift to school from a batch of imperial soldiers looking for snow to power up their death star =)

Like all myths, there is some basis in fact. In fact, UFO's have been documented for years, centuries even, if some cave drawings are to be taken literally.
Personally, I don't see what the problem is. The galaxy is an extremely large place, with an extremely large number of stars, similar to our own. Why is it so hard to believe that there would be life somewhere else out there, and that they developed a long time before we did?

Robertthebard, I don't find it hard to believe that there is life somewhere else in the universe. Advanced life, even. I guess it's even possible that somewhere someone developed an usable form of inter-system travel. I find it hard to believe that no one told me anything, that the aliens have been here for some time now without anyone knowing it.

Yeah, the general population of the world would have a really hard time accepting that, I guess. I mean, it would go against all logic to think that a community of adults could handle the truth.

I am more interested in the concept of USO's (Unidentifed Submarine Objects) than UFO's (Unidentifed Flying Objects). Seeing as the earth is roughly covered 75% water and we have little, if any great methods of underwater exploration, I think it would be an ideal setting for "aliens" to live/hide. That is, if there is any.

All jokes aside, and even if he is crazy, it still begs the old question...aren't we being ridiculously arrogant to assume the entire vastness of space has no other purpose but to function as scenery for our little blue marble planet on the corner of the galaxy? That's alot of room for roaming. I feel it is insanity to *not* acknowledge the possibility that of course other species must have evolved somewhere else too.

We Canadians are a funny lot, so its not that far of a stretch to imagine that this fellow is, at the moment, roaring with laughter and guzzling Molson's finest.
