Good thing he died in the fall, otherwise I would have shot him. And I'm only half joking.

This blame game is hitting close to home in my household, since I'm at a similar age to people who die/shoot someone/commit suicide over games. I need to persuade my parents that (insert game title that I want to buy here) can't cause me to be a radical homocidal maniac.

In short, what kind of idiot tries to imitate an imposible stunt from a video game?

And why wasn't Wile E. Coyote sued more often?

I love how parents turn a tragedy around into their own personal way of making a profit. Everytime something goes wrong, they whip out a lawsuit and start playing the blame game.

I think I'm just gonna back out of this thread quietly, before I get into trouble. Some people's kids have no right to access to anything...

This reminds me of that old story about the kid who stabbed someone and people blamed Everquest because it has swords.

And then there was that Everquest addict who committed suicide when his 1337 account was hacked.

This lawsuit will get no where, it's utter shite. Winterwolf makes a good point, it is up to the parents to decide how much time on a computer is "too much". I personally leave my computer(s) on 24/7 aswell though; this doesn't automatically mean you're an addict (correct me if I'm wrong, but that's what I thought you were trying to put across by that sentence).

I mean, so what if you leave your computer on 24/7? Doesn't mean you are on it the whole time.

This is just like the "Sue Mcdonalds because you got fat" game.

To simply put it, It makes no sense.

Er, well, my mistake. I should have been clearer. I meant that the computer was on 24/7 *for the express purpose of gaming*. The boy himself is a useless piece o' crap, but that is a rant for another time. I sometimes forget not everyone can read my mind! I also know people who leave comps on all the time, but they have more valid reasons than gaming all day. They're usually running servers though.
