Surprisingly, that tends to be the case on reruns...

Does everyone here agree that the term "Relive" is probably the best invention ever made? It's an Eurosport thingy, so many of you will probably have never heard of it.
Heh, i love that scene where made a few adjustments to Rensenbrink's shot on the post in the last minute of the WC finals against Argentina. Instead of hitting the post, it now goes in....Holland wins the worldcup.

Ah well...one can always dream.

Well, they pulled out the stunt. Trinidad and Tobago won 0-1. Leo is going to Germany too.

Hold your horses there. It wouldn't be the first time Don Leo backs out on a team who's going to the World Cup.

Wow. So many soccer threads. Anyone'd think we were into the World Cup or something.

I know, he walked out on Saudi Arabia, but that's what Leo does when the officials don't gve him what he asks for. I don't mean money, but the right assistants, medical crew, facilities, stuff like that. Leo's will is law.

But at least he can take credit for leading a dwarf like Trinidad and Tobago into the biggest sportsevent on the planet.

Hey johnny - I hear on the grapevine that now we have made the world cup we have arranged 2 friedlies against other competing nations - and one of them is your mob . I think the other game is against the Swiss but not sure.

That would be quite possible, knowing Guus he takes the Ozzies into a traingcamp here in Holland, just like he did with the Koreans. And if they're here anyway, they might just as well play a match against eachother. However, if it turns out to be that Holland and Australia will be in the same group, i think both sides call it off. Guus wouldn't want to become an open book for us too early, while he pretty much knows everything about our strength and weaknesses.

That was a pretty bad loss, from an impregnable position eh. One could almost say they choked...?

At least you could lend a hand digging up the guys that were buried in the hallowed turf last week! What a bunch of wussies! "Please don't push us - we can't take it!"

Whatever happened to the "real men" in Australia? and exactly how embarrased were you?

(That's clever - "wussies" is a bit like "wallabies" and "aussies" crossed with "pussies"!, my brother would be pleased with that one!)

LOL - I saw an article in the paper today (no jokes Lanesra) cheering that the local city (Perth) had been allocated the 3rd test of the next Ashes series. It went on to expound about how outstanding this was for us because we West Australians would more than likely be the people on hand to see the Ashes handed back to us after the winning of the series.

Even I thought that a tad presumptious (I mean - what about the chances of rain in the first 2 matches) but I had a good grin thinking of a reaction from you and de man without de center
