Git yer grumbles in the right place, Ilander That was Michigan State, not Michigan. The difference is about as great as any strong rivalry.

And to set things straight, I am a Michigan fan. Although it's hard not to root for State right now... after those last two wins, I think that THEY think that they can beat anyone.

Fixed ...Thanks Bungleau, for helping me to identify my grumbles with the actual culprit instead of the innocent

Oh, and this thread is about college Basketball in the US.

Briefly, KY was the worst of 8 teams I watched this weekend. It's a Sparking miracle they were able to drive the game into OT. For about 38:00 of the game, I kept thinking that Mich State was playing them like a fiddle, scoring when they wanted, and doing WTF they wanted. To discuss mistakes:

1. With 0:30 to go in regulation they let Mich St pass the ball around until 0:12 was left. Any idjit shoulda known to foul them within :02 of inbounding the ball.
2. Yeah, that "what do we do -- shoot?" moment at the end of the 1st OT -- what a goof.

Oh, well, I don't think UK stood a chance against UNC anyway. I wanted to see Hays go to the Final Four dance just for the heck of it, but he was dragging along a mediocre team that did waaaay better than anyone (except a UK fan) could expect. Mich. State on the other hand, has the inside men that may be able to compete with UNC's Mays.

Regardless, this was a roundball weekend for the ages. The Illini win was frikkin awesome, as was Loo-a-vulle's. The UNC game was actually quite interesting and very close, too. Some great games. More OT's than you can shake a stick at.
