My thoughts will be with you guys, too.

I know from experience that things aren't always as they first appear. We had a bad scare, but things turned out ok. I am hoping they will be the same for you.

I pray the doctors give you better news next time she sees them. This must have been very shocking news for you both.

Oh that's terrible news Pritchke! How far along is your wife? I hope and pray that your baby will be OK.

I am currently pregnant with our 5th child and am also a doula. (I assist women through labor and delivery if you didn't knwo the word) So pregnancy and delivery is sorta my thing. I'm curious how far along your wife is. I would really suggest a second opinion before making any decisions. Also, you don't always have to abort because of low amniotic fluid. Sometimes the amniotic fluid fills back up. Sometimes they just put the woman on bed rest until the baby is old enough to be taken by c-section. The condition is called oligohydramnios,I think. Anyway, there are a lot of options and a lot of reasons this could be happening and I would really encourage you and your wife to do a lot of research, get a second opinion and leave the option of abortion for only the most extreme of circumstances. You three will be in my thoughts and prayers and I know I'm new here but I do know of a lot of rescourses you can go to for information. I'm also tied very heavily into the birthing community in Washington State and have a lot of information available to me. If you want any direction for that sort of thing, please don't hesitate to pm me. Again, I'll really be thinking about you. I truly hope things get better.

Not sure yet, they are trying to book her tomorrow before the holiday.

[Updated: She gets in on Tuesday.]

She is now about halfway through her pregnancy. I have refused to believe we will lose the baby until we talk to the specialist. I have been trying to make my wife think positive as not to upset the baby as well but it is not easy when it is dwelling on your mind. Currently the baby has a very strong heart beat and is strong.
