I've been told that really depends on where you are living. Here in the Netherlands you are taking a risk only boiling your egg for 4-6 minutes. Apparently up in Norway they barely even know what salmonella is. Same with the actual chicken, of course, though not many Norwegians would eat that raw I don't think.

MINIMUM? Is that all your good for?

At 42 I can knock out 78, 73 and 2 in 14:15 for max. True I've only been retired for 23 days, and have over 20yr doing it, but what the hey! You ought to be able to out perform the "Old Crusty"!

Only if you have a whole lot. Nutritionists advise now that one egg a day is fine, yolks included.

I'd also heard that salmonella thing, however what Legolas says makes sense. Anyway, I doubt that they would give you any added benefit that you couldn't get from other sources. Which wouldn't be so disgusting as raw eggs

Eggs have load of protein. If you want to build muscles or train more than a 3 times a week it`ll help you to recover. If you eat a bit more meat or some other protein rich food you can skip the eggs.

Also remember:

- stretching and restoring workout like walking
- rest (this can be insanely difficult)
- eat a lot and correct (veges and sugar before, heavy and protein rich after)

I used to make a shake in the blender rvery morning when I was living in Mexico that used 1 raw egg, the Mexican chocolate mix that contained loads of nutrients "Choco Mil", and a banana, mixed with milk. It really kept me going until lunch time, and I used to walk "everywhere" I went everyday...so I needed the boost.
I've beaten the minimum, but I want to be able to do them without stress, ie, doing a 3 mile run with weights after doing leg work, or doing 30 pushups after doing arms work, which is why I'm taking the eggs, as well as chugging gawdawful (and expensive) protein shakes, in addition to my regular workout routine.

3 miles after leg work?
Push-ups after arms?

Three areas of concern for your legs. Hamstring, ACL (knee), and achiles tendon.

Ensure you are warm and properly stretched prior to running, more so if you have done heavy work, squats for example.
Knees, think of them as the second shock absorber, first being a high quality shoe.
Achiles is the tendon that connects back of ankle to calf area.
Hamstring, easily pulled if not stretched or warm, especially after a heavy lift.

Push-ups, no bigge! I use to burn my unit on Tuesdays. 150 push-ups for warm up (50 per set), then muscle failure(around another 300), then .50 cal barrel (25.lbs) curls, another 100 in four sets of 25, then 15 count pyrmid, then another two sets of 50.
Some reason they never complained about wearing a 25+ lb vest!
