Personally, I would not call it cheating to use shadowkeeper to move those points into something more fitting the character. For an archer, I would probably go for single weapon style, as you can't use your off hand for anything whilst holding a bow.

Some people may disagree, but I think that altering a character slightly at the beginning of the game doesn't really counts as cheating if you don't improve the character's stats overall, just play with them slightly.

Tim.

I think that counts as cheating because it's DnD official to have the ranger skilled at two-weapon fighting. I don't see anything wrong with dropping the bow, usually when fighting vampires.

Wether it is cheating or not is actually besides the point...
Does anyone REALLY care about what poor little John Doe in Nevada is doing with his PC...
I find it totally allright to edit and change characters as long as it is done within RPG standards

That means that a fighter with stats 25 and maxed totally in resistance and damage is CHEATING...but if U move some pregiven points to another slot it is quite allright!

Spawkie

just my humble opinion

Ever noticed how these arguments just happen again and again and nothin really comes out of it apart from a little hostility and waste of time.

2. And I'm not looking to blame anyone, I just think it seems a little strange to be specialised in two weapon fighting when an Archer would use a single two handed weapon. Surely someone else must see the reasoning behind this?

3. Thank you I don't use them.....just a pity those two points couldn't be put to better use in say two handed weapon or single weapon fighting but hey what do I know?
Actually, my friend, I'm quite calm. When you referred to the 2 stars in dual weapons as "the most pointless thing ever", I thought that you were the one with some issues. My bad.

At any rate, since the game auto-pauses when you go to the inventory screen no game time is actually spent; therefore, it's simply a matter of personal preference whether you spend the extra real time changing weapons or not. You do what you want, and I'll do what I want. Sounds fair?

Except these pregiven points are meant to be in the Two Weapon Style proficiency. No other class gets two free points, and it is a trait of the Ranger class. So it is not within RPG standards to shift them around.
