$300 budget, eh? Well, I got my Treo on a special plan from Sprint for around 300 after rebates... if you look, you can find 'em. But if you don't want the cell phone ability (and you might not, if this is your first unit), look into something like the Palm Zire models. They're designed to be entry level, giving you all the PDA functionality at a reasonable price. My only suggestion is to go for bigger memory if you can. You may not use it immediately, but it's really nice to have [img]smile.gif[/img]

You can get a Zire (21? 71? Idunno) for under a hundred bucks if you look around.

Which PDA has the cell phone with Verizon service built in? I saw a commercial for it on television, but I can't recall the name.

If anyone knows what i'm talking about, I'd greatly appreciate it. I need to drop Mrs. Claus a hint.
