Jon that's also a great way to get you'r healers wrecked in no time. Turning slayer is like using Draw Upon Holy Might, and Berzerk all at once. I'm not positive, but if you threw in a prot. from evil 10' radius then it might be workable.

I forgot to mention HASTE ur Slayer, the dragon can barely hit u(at least thats what happened). i killed all 3 evil dragons that way. (saves u time, they last for only 30 sec)

Try using Lower Resistances, then just cast Finger of Death at him. It may take a while o work but that usually works and is not too much trouble.
Has anyone else tried it, or am I the only one??

I think the best way to kill them is to cast disentegrate at them.İf you try this 3 or 4 times it will work i promise.For example i killed Firkraag in this way.Then i understood my mistake but it was late to do anything.

Don't use the following spells on dragons EVER!!!!
1)lower resistance (use the priest spell magic resistance. It sets the magic resistance to a lower level than lower resistance can. That's right and since it's a "helpful" spell the dragon gets no saving throw.)
2)Disintigrate (you DO want the equipment they would have dropped, don't you? Disintigrate not only kills the monster it also disposes of whatever they would have dropped for you. If you're doing the paladin subquest, and you use disintigrate on the dragon, I'd say you're screwed.)

On a side note:
There are only 2 EVIL dragons in the game. The silver one is supposed to be either good or neutral I forget which. Or did they put an extra evil dragon in ToB, and you're just causing cross forum contamination?

Do not use Lower Resistance? You are kidding right? 2-3 of those will bring the Dragon's magic resistance to 0... something the Priest spell, Magic Resistance can never do.

Do that trick with the magic resistance then just do what I did. Have 2 mages blast him with magic missles and 2 clerics cast holy smite. Dragon dies very quickly. just sent the Aerial servants to keep him occupied. I've found normal weapons to be useless against dragons. I stick to magic and creatures. Just keep your fighters close to the dragon than the clerics and mages so they take the hits rather than the important ones. 2 dead clerics makes resurections difficult without the rod of ressurection. Fighters can always be raised again. Besides fighters tend to be tougher.

Ive only found shadow dragon, firkraag and the silver dragon, where are the other two?

one is the black dragon in suldenesselar, the other is in hell (both at the very end of the game)

the spell Magic Resistance is a good set-up spell, as it's considered friendly it won't make him aggressive, letting you get some more time to set up, or do while setting up your fighters. You can also combine it with lower resistance to completely negate his magic resistance.

Insect swarms are useful (but I don't think dragons can be interupted from their spellcasting)

Negative Plane Protection is a lifesaver against the shadow dragon (his breath weapon drains levels)

the fire protection spells stack, making them extremely useful (if you have the helm of defense dragon helm, dragon shield, any other items that raise it)if your resistance is over 100% Firkraags firebreath will actually heal your party,

if you want a cheesy way to gain the xp multiple times cast mag resist/lower resist/greater malison/doom/flesh to stone/stone to flesh/flesh to stone/stone to flesh/etc just don't attack the statue, or you'll have the same effects as with disintegrate or killing him with a cone of cold, or similar magic, lose most of the loot.

in addititon low level buff spells are invaluable, bless/chant/prayer/aid etc all give + or two to hit, one of the biggest problems with dragons is actually hitting them. so just hit them hard and fastwith all your protections and have connon fodder ready to distract him
