Well, most alliance folk on Argent Dawn are awesome, and help out See kids (young) love the Horde because they look tougher, and scary. Kids think that is cool. I don't know about your server, but the Horde on AG is more that not younger aged. Say what you will .. Also, I guess mainly because it is a RP server. Most younger folk gravitate to PvP servers.
And so what if a BG runs over 20 mins. As long as you are having FUN, it doesn't matter. If I see no communication in /raid I know we lost. I don't /afk, I try to get people talking and working together, and it happens sometimes.. bad groups usually happen later at night. Dunno why. I don't like stat freaks, and people labeling others, 'turtling', 'farming for honor' and all these other labels.. 'twinked' ? lol. To me, those people have become jaded from WOW, and no longer enjoy it. I dunno, to me, I love soloing, and doing my thing. If I need help, I ask LfG and nearly every time, I get great people to help out. You should visit Argent Dawn. You may be surprised my friend. BTW, Mages need to be fixed. In BG's you can't use spells like fireball with that delay.. you'd be dead before you got off a shot. I use arcane missiles, fireblast, cone of cold, freeze them in place, coldsnap, repeat if I am near a carrier. Can't wait till 57. I can buy Arcane Brilliance! PS: I know how they tally honor. What I'm saying is I was a main force in taking down LOADS of people. not just a killing blow. (They had a lot of low level 45-48s and I LOVE taking out shaman and priests.) [ 03-09-2006, 09:05 AM: Message edited by: Ziroc ] |

Wow, on my server I meet so many Hordies who went Horde after finding out it's where the adults play. The kiddies love being the alliance races -- NE Hunters, Pallies, etc. I do a pve server, and I bet you are right about rp servers being more likely to draw adults -- esp. to Alliance.
Now, the alliance is big enough that some guilds do have an awesome pvp team, but in all the PUGs that wander into WSG during levels 25-59, the horde wins a LOT -- 75% from my experience. When we lost, it was because one of these guilds was on, and we got put in against them, and they all worked together well and wtfpwned us bad. |

I have played on all types of servers and am currently on an RP server. The alliance side is still bad (not as bad as a PvE serever but bad). It is established that more younger players play alliance. The Devs have even acknowledged it. This is why I went horde, out of necessity not personal desire (do you think I like looking at Durotar all day lol?). You may have to wait till you are 60. but things will change, trust me. If WSG runs over w/e I don't care. I agree, once you're having fun. Relax, I said "personally" and that's just me . As far as labels go well I use them out of necessity. So do you. So do most who play WoW. Twinks exist in wsg games and (I feel) ruin the game for all (funnie when you beat 'em though). "Turtling", "Farming" etc. these are verbs; terms developed by MMO players and nothing more. The same way you would say 'toon' or 'char' or 'LGF' these too are abbreviations to represent an action or term within a game.

Argent Dawn is a RP-PvE server, so you will have more adults playing Alliance. Switch over to a PvP server and you will see the difference. I went from playing Alliance on Lothar (PvE) to Wildhammer (PvP), and the kiddie quotient went through the roof.
Typically, your better players will play Horde in most cases. Also, in most cases at least, Horde will almost always take down Alliance in BGs or PvP as far as PuGs are concerned. Now it doesn't always happen that way, I've lost quite a few on Bloodscalp with my Undead Warrior, but for the most part they get beaten so bad it's not even funny. My roommate used to brag about how they would take very single point in AB, then the counter would speed up and they would win in under 5 minutes. I never thought that was possible. I was wrong, case in point: I tried an Arathi Basin BG with my 32 Rogue on Wildhammer. Sure enough, we lost all control points and ended up getting spanked like 300 to 2000 in under 5 minutes. Yeah, it was over that quick. There was only about 4 or 5 of us that were actually doing anything, everyone else just wandered around the Alliance spawn point. Then the Horde took 4 of the 5 resources, after that those of us that were trying to win were quickly overrun. It was pathetic. I can honestly say that in all the BGs that my roommate and I have done on Bloodscalp, I’ve never once seen the Alliance beat us that bad. (In most cases, they usually just barely win.) Makes me wonder how they ever get a BG rank at all, then I remember that rank has nothing to do with skill and even standing there like an idiot will get you a couple honor kills if everyone is in the same raid group. Great system, Blizzard! Glycerine |

Well, I will note that on my server the Alliance wins about 90% of the time in AV. They lose in WSG and AB, even with superior numbers, but in AV they usually have double the numbers of the horde. The horde really is a rather small horde, you know. Minority rights FTW!

Yeah alliance almost always win AV on most servers because of the fact that all day and all night they are constantly getting reinfocerments until eventually the horde can't keep up and a loss is just imminent.
I agree Glyc, it isn't even funnie how bad alliance can get beaten up in a PUG. And it is frustrating as heel playing alliance and watching your teamates play so bad it's pathetic. Eventually I had enough and packed it in.

Congratulations Ziroc! I only just hit level 60 two weeks ago, and they have *flown* by!
As for your guy's questions about the librams, they involve gathering materials and turning in at Dire Maul or the Burning Steppes. You receive an item that gives you a permanent enchantment to a head or leg item of your choice; these Arcanums are also required materials for the Zul'Gurub Enchantment (WHICH IS FREAKIN' AWESOME!) What each of the arcanum do: Rumination - BS - 150 mana Constitution - BS - 100 hp Tenacity - BS - 125 armor Resilience - BS - +20 fire resistance Voracity - BS - +8 str/agi/sta/int/spi (only 1 stat of the 5) Rapidity - DM - +1% haste to attacks (ranged/melee) Focus - DM - +8 healing and damage from spells Protection - DM - +1% to dodge Resilience is probably the best one for Warrior because you can craft a Dark Iron Helm (relatively) cheaply and then add 20 FR to it for a total of +55 FR from one item. Zul'Gurub Enchantment Requirements: All classes 1x Punctured Voodoo Doll 1x Pristine Black Diamond Druid 1x Primal Hakkari Bindings 1x Libram of Protection 1x Frayed Abomination Stitching 2x Large Brilliant Shard => Animist's Caress 10 Sta, 10 Int, 24 Healing Hunter 1x Primal Hakkari Stanchion 1x Libram of Rapidity 2x Blood of Heroes 2x Large Brilliant Shard => Falcon's Call 10 Sta, +24 Ranged Attack Power, 1% Chance to Hit Mage 1x Primal Hakkari Girdle 1x Libram of Focus 2x Skin of Shadows 4x Large Brilliant Shard => Presence of Sight 18 Dmg/Heal, 1% chance to hit with spells Paladin 1x Primal Hakkari Shawl 1x Libram of Protection 1x Frayed Abomination Stitching 2x Large Brilliant Shard => Syncretist's Sigil 10 Sta, 7 Defense, 24 Heal Priest 1x Primal Hakkari Tabard 1x Libram of Focus 2x Skin of Shadow 4x Large Brilliant Shard => Prophetic Aura 10 Sta, 4 Mana Regen, 24 Healing Rogue 1x Primal Hakkari Kassack 1x Libram of Rapidity 2x Blood of Hereos 2x Large Brilliant Shard => Death's Embrace 28 Attack Power, 1% Dodge Shaman 1x Primal Hakkari Sash 1x Libram of Focus 2x Skin of Shadow 4x Large Brilliant Shard => Vodouisant's Vigilant Embrace 15 Int, 13 Dmg/Heal Warlock 1x Primal Hakkari Armsplint 1x Libram of Focus 2x Skin of Shadow 4x Large Brilliant Shard => Hoodoo Hex 10 Sta, 18 Dmg/Heal Warrior 1x Primal Hakkari Aegis 1x Libram of Protection 1x Frayed Abomination Stitching 2x Large Brilliant Shard => Presence of Might 10 Sta, 7 Defense, 15 Shield Block |

Isn't there a faction requirement too?

Back to the discussion of Realm/Faction censuses. If you care to see what comprises your faction on your server, you may find this interesting.
http://www.warcraftrealms.com/census...servertypeid=1 Note the flaw is that it doesn't distinguish between *active* characters. |
