I try only to cheat to bypass unpatched bugs. Such as one with TDD where Cromwell wasn`t giving me the items he forged, I hacked them in.
Or if for some reason an item doesn`t spawn in it`s proper container; most common example are the Dryads Acorns in Chateau Irenicus, often they don`t spawn on Llyic`s body for some reason. In instances like that, cheating is justified.
Another example i`ve heard of is working for Bodhi, Arkansis Gath will spawn with his short sword of certain doom; so, I would hack in 2 scrolls- timestop and shapechange; and enough equipment to reduce spellcasting time by as much as possible. Cast timestop, then shapechange: mindflayer; and suck out Gath`s brains. After that I would hack back in what I had on before, and dump the extra equipment. [/QUOTE]WHO IS ARKANSIS GATH?!?! Arkanis Gath is a thief that helps you fight against Bodhi if you ask for the shadow theives help. He also attacks you if you attack a shadow theif and didn't side with Bodhi as that will screw up the game. When he attacks because of this he uses a sword that deals instant death and never really misses. the only way to kill him is to as mentioned use time stop and shapechange into a mind flayer and suck his brains out because he has an item equiped that stops his hp from dropping below 1. Note: he doesn't have that sword or items when fighting against Bodhi.
