The problem is not Coca Cola, is not brushing your teeth...
I guess the same would have happened with lemon tea with lots of sugar...

From what I've read in the papers recently both coke and fruit juices will actually dissolve part of the tooth enamel, and brushing teeth right after drinking coke or OJ will make sure it disappears and therefore can't settle again. The trick would be to wait a while before brushing, or giving them up entirely ('them' being either the teeth or the drinks ).
Milk products and water are appearantly okay to drink, but I'm sure that one day they'll find reasons to label those as unhealthy as well. |

A Winning Smile.
![]() I´ve heard from somewhere that if you put a tooth in Coke and leave it there for 24 hours it will dissolve and disappear. It´s probably the Coke that gave her this charming smile, as there was nothing in the text, at least what I could find, that said that she DIDN`T brush her teeth. Contact time with the teeth is the thing - not the lack of brushing. Your saliva quickly kills the acidic effect of the coke, so not brushing is no big deal (although you might make less friends ). Soshing it about in your mouth for extended periods, or gargling the stuff for minutes is probably the worst thing you can do - even then, the saliva generation is reducing the potency of the effect.
