I'm not so sure... I sometimes find my subconscious picks up on things a hell of a lot better than my conscious mind - and that my refusal to believe in the things my dreams show has caused some disappointmnt when, much later, I found they were right.

I feel dreams can be many signs to ones inner thinkings. Sometimes a dream feels like it really has happen. This may be because 1) it did in maybe a past life and only in the deep state of rest may your brain remember such a long ago event 2) You are about to experience something a lot like in your dream. This may be far fetched but oh well. They may also a way for the mind to let go and explore you more creative side. Sort of like a vent for all the weird crap that goes on up there. Dreams may also be more symbolic. My mom has a book which tells you the meaning of a dream. I've never really been able to piece them together but one day I bet I will.

Nightmares on the other hand I can't really figure out. Anyone have any ideas on why we have nightmares?

sometimes we get nightmares from movies we saw.....one time i was watchin that movie called Chucky....that freak doll thing.......in that nightmare he was chasin me down tryin to kill me.....*shivers*
