I know MagiK, i know. The best example are those Islamic extremists in Indonesia. They give television interviews and tell the world what their intentions are. Now everyone knows their faces, and it's no secret where they live either.

One of the best explications of theis was by a man who is certainly not one of my personal heroes, William Tecumseh Sherman. In a letter to, I think, Grant, he tells how "we must kill two hundred thousand," meaning the dissident Southerners, so that the chastened rump would be amenable to coming back into the union. Harsh, but undoubtedly effective, judging from a letter from a Southern general later, that complained of "the loss of the best and brightest" during the war.
