The trucking is what got me hurt. Typing is what I do online... my bad! (Can't stay away!)
Sorry you're having trouble. Um..don't mean to sound pushy or anything, but how does one get repetetive stress syndrome while trucking?

*makes note to self 'don't take up trucking'!*

Hope it all works out for you. Pet the bunnies, I'm sure they're good for any type of illness or at least a smile!

Magik - LOL!!

Cloudy - Thank you. The stick shift was a bit high on the doghouse (one of those technical trucking terms for a hump on the floor) and 6th gear was actually behind me. Pulling on the steering wheel to compensate got both arms strained.

I am much better now than I was, so things aren't horrible.

The bunnies are an ENDLESS source of amusement for me. I have one that thinks he is a cat and climbs shelves (crazy rabbit) and sits in the window. The other one is like the king of naps. Maybe they were both cats in a previous life.

Got bunny?

Question Mark

Well, they certainly don't lie there in the sun... they are too jittery.

Fiver will sit there, look around.... and continue looking around ready to jump away any time...

silly rabbit.

Maybe this is like applying for disablity, they deny you several times before they finally admit you're right, and then pay you back time?

You definately need a good lawyer!

Good Luck
You will have to preservere thru difficulty, grasshopper, before truth and justice prevail...

Took my workcomp over 2 years, and was a month short of trial b4 they caved in and paid because they knew we were going to win...but my case was going to establish legal precedent for MT, because there had never been w.c. case for voice injury.

Repetitive stress injury is an established and mature body of case law in every state of the union...you only need keep meticulous records, and you DO have the right to start the legal process yourself, i.e. making sure that you meet the filing deadline for any cause (generally two yrs for wc from date of original injury.)

I don't know about the 30 day thing, It was not until 3 months after I lost the ability to speak above a whisper that I even started a workcomp case, and that was originally just to pay for the doctor bills, which were mounting with every visit to the next specialist who told me they had never seen anything like it....a phrase you never want to hear from your doctor, lawyer, or mechanic!

Sound like you are on the right track, you must exhaust ALL administrative/agency proceedings b4 a civil process can start... make sure you keep records, and do your original filing yourself...

Thanks JJ - I do keep good records... have all those papers in a file now - and it is 3 inches thick already. So onward and upward... the search for a lawyer will continue on Monday.

And LS, thank you - you are sweet. I really am better than I was, but not 100%.

Who knew that your body falls apart in your 30's?? My mom never told me that!!

What kind of work did you do JJ?

I don't have any problems, but I've often wondered what would happen to me if I lost my voice.

I'm a 911 telecommunicator(fancy word for dispatcher/call taker), and a part-time radio announcer. I used to do the radio deal full time, so the only real work I've ever done has been talking.
