No worrys Neuromancer, a friend told me one time that threads are not ones own but belong to the forum and all of its members. I really enjoy the humor in IW and wouldn't ever not want some in any topic I started

And if you could help me understand how voting is done in your country I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks! We use an electronic voting booth. We also have early voting. I voted last week. BTW, there is nothing wrong with voting party line as long as that's what you agree with. I typically vote Republican nationally but not locally.

Even when I was overseas I still had the absente ballot sent to me and participated that way. I wasn't very well informed at that time but voted along party lines.

My Dad ran for congress a long time ago but didn't make it through the Rep primarys. The Dem was heavily favored to win that seat and did anyway. He ended up a couple years later running for State Assembly and held that position until he retired an ornery conservative Law maker.
