I wrote a poem. It's about love in a way. My love for the RPG.

A Trickster ode to the RPG

I hide myself from the light,
Trying to avoid the plague of white,
That tries to take away my soul,
From all there is I wish to know.

When time has finally passed me by,
I do not wish to wonder why,
Where this journey could come to end,
And what the adventurous path intends.

Don’t shut me down for being blind,
To everything that’s held behind,
The box of life that does devour,
That sucks the bones of every hour.

If only life could have made of me,
The entity of the R.P.G.,
Where all I am is known to me,
And all I do for all to see.

Wonderful choice's Iron_Ranger and Trickster! They truly touched me and I'm sure appreciated many times over by all the ecsapee's. Although my time is up for the day, someone will always listen to your Dedications here.
Ladyzekke, as the changes in seasons approaches and the seasons change forces of love and truth surround our actions and truly all of our dedications--> goodnight.

Here's one I wrote a few years ago, in school. Seemed appropriate for this crowd.
SHAPE SHIFTER

Wonderful; majestic;
Glorious; alluring.
Not like a chameleon
Whose color only changes
Into shades of green and brown.
Instead changing into
Several different things
Such as a creature of multiple colors
And feathers spread in proud salute,
Or scales as a hard protection
Against the things that would harm.
A mythical monster of horrifying grandeur
With leathery wings and baleful stare
An animal of surpassing beauty
And breath of sizzling flame.
Something covered in thick fur
For surviving chill winds and hard storms
Slick and legless for hiding under stones
From cruel and burning sunlight.
Instead of being what others desire
Fulfilling dreams they decided;
If I were a shape shifter
I would be what I wish to be.

This is pretty cool that this thread is getting so many great poems, so far nothing ametuer. Ornery One, never really thought of shapeshifters that much, but you made me think of them and what it would be like to be one, nice poem thanks for sharing it! PS- I think a lot of us are shapeshifters in disguise, we all have our own different sides, just don't physically change if that makes sense..

people are laughing
persecution mania
Happy days, lets go

- Guitar Vader

O_o ?

I think i'll just do my own...

Here I am a rhyming man
whos job is self descriptive
didn't have to go off to Nam
because I was evicted

My old apartment years ago
war torn asunder by
a man who was a virgo
and had a glass eye

his teeth were yeller'
his breath of dirty boot,
his brow a real killer,
in a tartered suit,

he screamed at me all the while
saying "son why dont'cha join"
I told him I had, since a child,
feared the wars of sin...

but then he ripped me from my seat
and hauled me off to the office
they said my bloodtype didnt fit
they thoguth i was a con artist

a few years I spent in prison
but nobody took notice
I spent my time drawin'
and gettin' fat off cupcakes by Hostess

and in no time i was out of line
and kicked in the groin
tho the guy behind me actuall pushed
I felt sorry for him

for he got the chair a few days later
and he all owed it to his wife
who'm had maried and two timed him
and slipped onto his knife

but stories said and people are dead
no one can survive
the truth that is that no one's kiss
is equal to a life..."

>_> that was just some random rhyming, I didn't think it would turn into something that sounds more like a country/war soung... err it must be one of those funky funky days... I need my glasses... and caffiene...
