I thought about Reeka last week, and it bugged me i couldn't hear from her because of IW being down, but than i got invited to SR so i could see for myself. Still haven't seen her though and i hope everything is alright. If any of you guys should see her soon, please give her my best wishes.

A further update

Apparently, the doctors want to keep her in a little longer to monitor her blood, so she's not getting out today. She sounds quite high spirited and seems to be doing well, and now we're aiming for a Monday release date [img]smile.gif[/img]

She's been up and walking around today, which is more than she could do before the surgery, so it looks like everything is going well [img]smile.gif[/img]

Thank you Bardan for the update, that is wonderful news, and an understandable precaution on the part of her doctors. Is she on or going to be on immune system suppressants?

Nopey, the valve is artificial, which means that her body won't reject it, so there is no need for immune suppressants. She *does* ned to take blood thinners for the rest of her life, to stop blood clotting on the valve, but since she *already* had to take blood thinners for the rest of her life to combat her Hughes Syndrome, there will be no real change for her [img]smile.gif[/img]
