Oh yes, I'd just LOVE to be able to do stuff like Irenicus... in fact

(hehe) i found some of the spells he MAY have used on shadowkeep. ah it was wonderfull.... until that jerk cast that turning spell on himself, and uh, 'poor' aeire who had just cast 'disintergrate no resistance' (or something similar) ended up... well in lotz a pieces *laugh*. Ooh one spell i LOVE is 'minor lightning'...lol a lvl 1 spell that does tons of damage... bit like that lvl 1 flamestrike, or that lvl1 earthquake

Actually, liches:walkover. I laughed at them without EVER having to cheat, or use these "traps, undead scrolls, etc". Complete knock out. The only (bastard) who gave me ANY trouble was Kangaxx's f***ing demi-lich form.
Which is a shame 'cos the ring of gaxx rules.

What's up with those liches, man! They don't have magic resistance, but if I cast a spell on one it says "spell inffective" or something like that, even when it doesn't have a shield! What I do is either:
*use sunray from the sword Daystar
*cast the 7th level cleric spell sunray
*cast the various undead killikg, holding, repelling, or controlling mage and cleric spells
*get a high level evil cleric, turn undead, control the lich, and have it kill itself with its spells "meteor swarm, disintigrate, flesh to stone, finger of death, etc.

nice tactix there willard, but i wanna kill kangaxx in chapter two, and its hard to have access to lvl 7 cleric spells. hell, my protagonist only had two level 6 spells max and that was because i wore the wizardry ring.

Overall, I think we all agree that some battles are just not all that balanced. But hey, im gonna go over to the bridge district cause i found myself a nice little rogue stone in the windspearhills. Who wants to come beat-up some twisted runes
