Moral is the most effecient shield against the soul, says whom I forgot. sometimes, people need to lower their moral codes and see things for what they really are. a person that defies soul in name of moral becomes self righteous tyrant to himself and the people around him whileas a nation overlooks the suffering it created.
in a way, moral serves to protect ourselves from seduction of the darkness and at the same time defeat its very purpose. |

To kill someone or to not kill them? I can say from experience that in my past when stranges have tried to hurt me or thoes close to me that the police have been the only thing to save them. I have almost been mugged twice. Both times in washington D.C. and both times in the same neighborhood. Both times the muggers left without my money ,my jewlery or my car. They did manage to get broken arms ,ribs, legs and for one ,a cut to the bone from his ear to his lip. I am not a very violent person, just a HUGE fan of personal responsibility. If you try to mug me or beat me up, you will lose and you will think twice before trying to do it to anyone else again, EVER!! I can also say with almost 100% certainty , that if my country and home was invaded by anyone that, that person would drown in their own blood before they hurt my family. That persons death wouldnt be a moral option it would be fair payment for a failed attempt at harming me and my family. Good and evil doesnt even come into play.
The Nazis were efficient and almost unstopable because the majority of the populace supported what was going on. The Allies had to fight all the way into the heart of Germany to finaly win the war. Does this mean that the German people at that time were all irredeemable evil? The U.S. droped 2 atomic bombs on Japan and killed millions of people. Does that make them any more or less evil than the Nazis? In more recent history you have people like Jerry Fallwell and Pat Roberson who blamed the Sept. 11th attack on "godlessness and gays and lesbians". Then you have Cerek and Yorick from this board, who I think are equaly strong in their faith , but dont seem to have a problem with gays and lesbians. Who is right and who is wrong?? There is also the Isreal and Palestine conflict. Both sides claim to want peace, yet daily both sides attack and kill each other. Who is wrong? Isreal who claims to want to protect its people from palestinian aggression, OR Palestine who claims that they are an occupied nation and that there people are mistreated and abused by Isreal?? Which side is more right? I think when it comes down to it Morality is subjective to which side of an issue you are on. Usualy whoever is moraly in the right is also moraly in the wrong at the same time. P.S. Cerick and Yorick I didnt mention your names as an attack ,bringing it closer to home was just a comparison I though might help people understand my point a little better. War is wrong. Killing someone is also wrong and I don't think I would ever classify it as a moral action. If I had the chance to save someone by killing someone else I would do my best to do so. But I would never say that I did something moral. Not to suggest that those of you who have posted have said that murder is moral. I just want to make the point that we can and should do things that are right and just that may fall outside the bounds of what we define as moral. DeSoya

Mortalitity is only a test to prove if you are fit for immortality or are too simplistic and blinded to not see the truth. what is the truth? It cannot be put into words, though MANY do try, and they only become blinded themselves...

now for the morality question.if someone enters my house with the intent to kill me,they will die.i don't care what their reasons are.and if i lead a country that was having it's citizens killed by these foreign troops,my course of action would be to kill the government that was ordering these deaths.and when they are gone i will leave them with the fear of quick violent death to anyone that tries it again.

Whether it is 200,000 or a million it does not matter, it is the moral which matters.

morality?
Do what you must.... but be prepeared to accept the concequences of your actions. Everything has a price... Then Judge your OWN soul, rather then have others judge it for you...
