How has this character deserved what people are wishing upon it? For simply existing? Blame George Lucas, who also created the characters and worlds you love.

And anyway, isn't it better that we wish the destruction of something non-living that we can't harm anyway, but which we can vent some of our anger upon, than our neighbour or such?
