Speaking of "free societies" and censorship... Doesn't Australia routinely ban movies and video games with explicit content? I seem to recall hearing about this every so often.

Germany's much worse, in terms of regulations on video games - they have an index, and if it's on the index, it can't be shown on store shelves or sold to minors.

Australia had a spat with Grand Theft Auto III and Vice City, specifically with the sex scenes (because that was the most offensive part of those games ) but that's about all I'm aware of.

What's going on?
Swearing is common on British TV but only AFTER the watershed of 9 pm. We have to think of the little ones!

Bwahaha, now that is funny!

Although we had this Australian girl staying with us for a while over the summer, and she said that the image Australia puts out of its male inhabitants being 6ft blonde tanned hunks is naught but a cunning disguise! Apparently you're as fat, loud and obnoxious as the rest of us

Apparently, the Australian tourism board that's behind the ad is ecstatic. Gives them an opportunity to route people to the real ad while poking fun at England...
