Easy. Corporations are a whole in the market model. They are imaginary entities created to establish a wall between businessmen and the liability for their wrongs. They get tons of perks you and I don't, they get to declare bankruptcy with virtually no real ramifications to them. They are broken.

I bet the Indians are damn sorry now that they didn't build a wall along their entire Atlantic coastline to keep all that white trash out a few hundred years ago.

the essay below the comic is actually better than the comcic itself and further illustrates your point... and yes I bet they are pretty damn upset about not building a wall.

Question Mark

The problem with immigration here in America is that too many people think we owe them things like free health care or special teachers so that the immigrant children don't have to learn English. We don't owe anybody anything.
Generations of immigrants came here and worked their arses off learning English and working to build a life here, not just to send money back home. If you want to come here to earn better pay, then do so--but do so legally by earning a greed card/work visa. You may then send your money anywhere you wish; you may even commute across the border every day, if you so desire.

The illegal immigrants and the coyotes who exploit are a Mexican problem, as well. The coyotes suck away any/all money that people who are trying to cross the border, usually leaving them to die in the desert or in trailers/trucks that DPS/INS find at truck stops or rest areas here in TX.

Big corporations promote and exploit the bloated government. Hell, as noted, they even get kickbacks and legal protection when they fail miserably. In a libertarian market, they would have no such shelters. Of course the de-regulation of business is a much broader topic which has it's own problems and compromises.

On the immigration front, a large cheap labor pool can only be a boon to business (until they start to form unions ).

Sure, if that is the certain outcome of open borders.

I don't know what the outcome will be myself, but I do know when the road you are on takes you nowhere, speeding up only gets you nowhere faster. Building walls and putting armies at the border is more of the same immigration policy, only bigger. It is not gauranteed to suceed any more than opening the gates is gauranteed to fail.

I think it's a great offense to my country when people come live in it and refuse to adapt to it. We have our own culture. You can't just barge in, refuse to speak our language, ignore our values, ignore us and only hang out with people of your culture. Such people only want to get free benefits, they don't really want to join us.

It's just as if me and a bunch of friends walked into your house and then preceeded to ignore you, eat your food, watch your tv, then go squat in your bedroom.

You want to join us? Fine, we'll be happy to have you. But don't use us. There is nothing more important than people's culture.
