LOL, Skunk, good show. I don't think it is obviously racist, however. It takes an educated dissection (thank you for doing it) to highlight those truly racist bits. I certainly don't think it violates TOS, so plese be sure before you accuse anyone of anything. Specifically, it's against the country and its leadership.

Muslim-Up. ROFL.

Oh, and even our dearly departed Frenchmen (Frenchpersons?) confirmed Chirac's theivery and some of these other more personal attacks against him.

I am hoping that skunk is right in his post about it being biased fabricatons. There is a lot that I like about France, except for the food, and I certainly am hoping that many of those points are simply not true. Especially the gang brutality against women part...Until I can get more opinions and commentaries...I will dismiss this article as one man's opinion.

You are correct TL! I remember Moiraine despised Chiroc until he had to run against La Pen. Then she held her nose and voted for him. She commented on several occasions about Chiroc's alledged thievery, while Mayor of Paris. She also went on to say the only reason she was one of those 83% was because of his anti-war stance. Wonder how popular he will be after all of this is over and there is a new leftist candidate in town?

Agreed that "cola" is probably not trademarked, it is however a US derived name from the early part of the 20th century, I would think that the islamic people would want to be a bit more original and middle eastern in the naming of their brands.

As for racist drivel..some of it does appear racist but a full 50% is not about race at all but about the current administration and its....colorful past...

Nor do I call pointing out the goals of radical islamics as being racist but perhpas being a bit realistic....alot of what skunk posted was just reactionaryu derision and not real informative commentary I was hoping to gain more of an education on the state of politics in france right now....not just emmotional derision for the authors views...I don't mind the disagreement but while skunk commented on each issue..I didn't feel like he was imparting any new real information, only that he himself really disliked this guy and some guy named Penn.

Just wanted to point out that this is not the first that has been heard about the current rise of anti-semetism in France...apparently this is a groing issue in France as well as a few other European nations.....nations that are starting to enact laws that prohibit Jews from observing their religious traditions. I will also point out that the Author of the article is not Jewish and neither am I..(German/Polish descent here).

Larry look at it this way. Are there any cities in North America with gang problems? This guy just took Muslim gangs and blew it out of proportion. It is kind of like someone from the KKK saying we have a problem with black gangs in America. So Skunk is correct it is based on biased fabrications. Gang brutality can happen in almost any city. It is still a great place to visit.

*cough* Magik, it may have escaped your notice but there is no French contingent on IW - they've been ethnically cleansed.[/QUOTE]
Now Sir Donut, please lets have some intellectuall honesty here..were they ethnicly cleansed...meaning were they banned/killed by government officials/Moderators? or did they leave of their own accord? And did all of them leave? as in did their accounts get deleted?

I ask because I wasnt here when it happened...I was "Away" for a couple of weeks.

Can you give us some further information about which countries passing these laws. Is it kosher?

They were made to feel so uncomfortable here that they made a decision to leave.
