My school's got a ZT policy on drugs, too, but it clearly defines what drug means: all that illegal stuff. Anything not on the list is fair game -- meaning if you find some great new drug, use it, and get caught, you'll probably get off with a slap on the wrist but it'll get added to the drug list. In other news, in many public school districts that ZT fighting policy has an enforcement loophole. One of my buddy's little sisters, a cute little almost-black belt, got jumped by three older guys behind the junior high (with demonstrated intent to rape). She beat the sh*t out of them, I'm proud to say ![]() Anyway, the guys got screwed, cops & everything. She got like the required six day suspension, but it will never be enforced. City of Houston apparently has a clause for self defense, i.e. no, we have a ZT policy, but you'll never actually serve your time. Things don't have to make sense ... |

Are the teachers/principal under any pressure from above to enforce these rules? If they risk loosing their job if they don't follow these rules strictly, then that put their actions in another light.

One thing i dont understand. Americans think drugs are bad, so they ban the bad ones and practically disable people from using the good ones because they ruin lives. they think alcohol is bad, because it ruins lives, so they ban it in bars and such. now, they also think guns are bad. so what do they do? they dont let you say anything about guns, or using guns because you might be dangerous. they make it harder and harder to use guns, until you can't at all. but they dont make them illegal. i mean, if someone planned to shoot someone, a bunch of rules wont stop them! but getting rid of guns and therefore making the weapon less accessible would. this zero tolerance policy is some load. people really take things too far. i mean, suspending a girl for bringing strangely shaped jello to school? she probably didn't even know it was bad. now she probably thinks she's bad and all the people in her class wont let her forget it. i hope her family doesn something about it. all these rules americans have is suffocating the people. i could start getting into a discussion about what republicans are doing to the nation, but thatll take too long. im lazy.
