I admire your patience. If the phone rings at 4:30 in the morning overhere, all i can say is f**k you, and hang up again without giving the caller the chance to speak. That is if i ever pick up the phone to begin with, i have an answeringmachine with basically the same message that usually takes care of it for me.

I don't doubt that the exploits of your daughters suitors make Casanova's diaries seem tame in comparison, but I would question whether they belong in the current events forum.

It's very suiting that it's on CE. Like John said in his post. Here the people are 'older'. And besides, that is one of those occassions that one needs a place to "unload" without repercussions from all of the younger group on GD. Multiply The Hierophant's post 20 fold, and that's what one could expect!

The younger ones can also read CE, there's no big sign on the door that says "under 21 no entry". So it doesn't really matter where it's posted.

We don't know each other very well, so I understand that more often than not you won't quite 'get' my sense of humour. My post wasn't meant to be taken at face value. I was merely taking the slant that while the guys JDH mentions were indeed pretty pathetic in their conduct, coming online to brag and bang one's chest about how one dealt with such 'pimply faced geeks' is pretty juvenile too. Since JDH is by the sounds of things a real manly man, surely the 'repercussions from all of the younger group on GD' that you mention wouldn't faze him one bit.

Also, John, any updates? Have you found out who these guys actually were? What does your daughter think?

Ah, but aside from a few exceptions every now and then, we all know each other here. I think this was a better place to tell a story like that. GD might be big and friendly, but it's big and friendly. Here we get inside each others' brains. It's a more intimate atmosphere. And ipso facto, quid pro quo, and all that jazz. ::wanders off to bed::

Well, it's Current and it's an Event, so CE fits.

Good one, JD. The longer the kid messed with you, the more fun you had trouncing him. He'll think twice before drunk-dialing again. Make sure to beat the piss outta him if he comes to visit.
