When a terrorist bomb in Iraq blows up killing civilians (perhaps along with U.S. soldiers) or when a terrorist attack otherwise results in dead civilians in Iraq, I am saddened. Saddened firstly at the loss of American life, secondly at the loss of Iraqi or other life, and thirdly that the progress toward bringing freedom of self-government by the people to Iraq is slowed and/or threatened.

When someone turns around and tells me all those deaths are my country's fault, I get angry. Too angry, really, to be posting on the topic. When someone says this, I have NO repsect for them whatsoever. I cannot help but call them names or make derrogatory comments about their intelligence. I cannot help but utterly despise them for their accusation.

Accordlingly, at Larry's direction, I will stop posting in this thread. I cannot, will not, and do not want to handle my temper on this topic.

It makes me mad that we invaded and occupied Iraq in the first place, creating the situations where desperate people do desperate (and despiciable) acts.

We invaded, we occupied, we created the situation. If we had not invaded, if we had not occupied, those people would not be dead. Plain and simple. I do not understand how it is so convenient and easy to get mad at and belittle the people who recognize this.

You don't have any respect for me because of it, fine. Consider it mutual, as I have no respect for anyone who denies simple cause and effect: basic logic, in favor of childish emotionalism.

Yes, that is the real issue this thread is about. That and the morality of taking away all these many lives as a result of actions taken in the name of "good" and "right" and if this huge loss of lives was avoidable in the first place and if loss of so many lives is avoidable in similiar circumstance the future may yet hold.
