That's weird though.

I was doing 26-28 damage per arrow with the Tuigan Bow with my archer. He had 17 strength though. I didn't have any problems killing.
Archers get +1 to hit and +1 to damage every 3 levels. Also, the Missile attack modifier by dexterity adds to damage too, not just THAC0.
He was only Level 11 too.

Archers are GREAT on a team that can protect them.. same as mages. If you have an archer un protected might as well make a fighter cuz they wont be able to use their specials arching skills. I use one on my team and i make sure she is protected cuz they help out a lot. Im trying essemble to Ginsen Bow right now for her so she will be even better. Earlier someone said what arrows to use for what, like +1 against shadows and stuff, but they said +4 (i think) against "demi-liches", i thought there was only one demi-lich. Am i wrong?

Actually, Archers don't even need Fighter protection--they've got Stealth! Slap some Boots of Speed on that silly puppy, and you've got a sniper that'll make the bad guys just weep.

Of course, the main problem with Archers is the lack of +2 arrows to cope with the enemies who are immune to normal and +1. I had an Archer once, and her THAC0 was phenomenal (-20), but nobody got as many "Weapon Ineffective" as she did.

There is one in the Docks, and one in the Watcher's Keep.
