I believe that Iraq never had WOMD. Don't you guys think that the Bush administration used that as a made up excuse to go to war?

Polls are fun! I saw a poll a month or two ago where 22% of the people polled believed Iraq used chemical/biological weapons on US troops during the invasi, opps, liberation.

Yes, wording has a lot to do with it. I remember about 8-9 years ago as part of a gradutate project a guy circulated a petition to repeal the Bill of Rights. And people were signing it like mad

This was in Boston I think.

If oil were it, we would be hanging onto it instead of turning it back over to Iraqis. The US has very favorable oil prices. Our gas prices here absolutely trounce other nations: $3/gallon in Carribean nations, $6/gallon in Iran (where the majority of the world's oil is refined), $6/gallon in UK. Compare to $1.50 - $2.00 a gallon in the US. We have deals with the Saudis so good they make satan and his lawyers jealous. C'mon -- oil?? Bush's desires/policies (re: opening Alaska drilling) would certainly have been better served without the war.
