Perhaps the funniset tactic is putting on the cloak of spell reflection and walking into a room full of beholders. They just don't seem to get that the more they try, the worse they get hit. The only side effect is the occasional paralysation slips through, don't know y though.

My current favorite is to Hide in shadows and scout with my main character (fighter/thief) when I find a group of Monsters I back up so they can't see me, lay all my traps in a nice little path, then go back to where they can see me and hit on with an arrow. As they charge, I slowly retreat along my path of traps and let them do the dirty work. I still havn't found a anything that can survive 12 traps. (Nadia and Yoshimo)

Who needs a Thief when you have a Ranger/Cleric: Cast Harm, then go Stealth, and your Ranger THAC0 almost guarantees you'll hit. Dual-wield for instant death. Yeah, baby

my favorite tactic in case you have trouble beating bosses or dragons is a mage. cast shapechange, but dont change yet. then when you are close to boss/dragon cast timestop. shapechange into mindflayer. 2 to 3 hits later dead boss/dragon . timestop ends collect treasures.

I wanna be able to do what some of those enemie mages can do ...
Once you kill 'em, last second their Chain-contingency for 10% hitpoints goes off. Sometimes this contingency has simulacrum in it, with the result that even if you did kill the wizard, his simulacrum rises from the ashes and starts slingin spells at you like nothing happened [img]smile.gif[/img] I've never been able to make this work for either my PC or any mage-NPC's though ![]() Else, i kinda like the spell-sequencer : greater malison, web, web ![]() EDIT: oh, and for cleric mages, spell-sequencer : Doom, Greater Malison, Spook ( in that order) makes any enemie save for spook at -12 !!!
