Ack, don't get me started... if my metabolism was any faster I'd probably die
I WISH ice cream made me fat
Seriously though, battling underweightedness is as hard as the opposite: when I'm full I'm full, so I cannot seem to eat enough to gain weight.

A lot of people would joke about wishing they had that problem Melusine, but IMO it's far more serious than having a slow metabolism.

I used to be really skinny when I used my bike as my main form of transport - at 19 I could eat like a horse but cycling for an hour and a half every day in hilly countryside soon worked it off!

I am about 20-25 pounds underweight for my height. Everyone says I should gain weight. Well I eat, and eat, and eat, and eat all the time and you know what happens?? I grow another two inches. I'm serious! I don't gain weight, I gain height!! I work out to try and build more muscle mass which will equal more weight but that takes a while. I am one of the most active people in my grade, always running, and playing sports, but the ammount I eat should still win out!

My AVERAGE dinner consists of two steaks (T-Bone, porterhouse, ect, ect) three baked potatoes, and three glasses of milk! Plus I am always eating chips, popcorn, icecream! Its insane! I want to at least gain ten pounds, but how can I when I can't even get one! It's amazing!

*sigh* I know - I've had people tell me to stop whining because they'd kill to have my body bla bla bla... I hate that. Would they kill for having such a bad constitution that any little virus or bug that goes around knocks them out for weeks??

Like Uss, I normally eat a LOT, both healthier stuff and things like crisps and popcorn, fried eggs, pasta etc. Looking at my mother, I know that I'll finally manage to gain some weight when I turn 50 she still is nowhere near fat though

Enjoy it, kids, but you should know that you are in a fortunate minority. I am always lecturing parents to quit letting their obese kids eat junk food and get them to exercize more. Obesity in children is epidemic, now, and I see no end in sight, as long as you can buy a 1 pound bag of potato chips for about a dollar. I keep a picture up at the office of a two year old, so fat that rolls had actually formed on him. The parents (usually obese, too) are always saying, "Oh, it's just baby fat," and I look at them and sy, "Worked for you, didn't it?"

I have always been too skinny for my size too. At 6'1 and a solid build I still only weigh around 68kg. It aint all good, I am always getting badgered to eat by my mum and even worse some of my girlfriends do it too
But there is the upside of being able to eat anything you desire
