Any one believe in the Matrix?

Hey Religious people and theologians.. a question: can god influence your destiny to an extent?

As far as "events" go, no, I don't think anything is "fated." I do believe fate per se exists, since it pretty well sets up the circumstances you are born with. A person who is born blind, or mentally deficient, or into a rich household, etc., did not exercise "free will" to enter into such an environment, so in that case, their circumstances are "fated". However, whatever they do with their circumstances and resources is their own free will.

It's like the Indian (eastern, not Native American) sages' proverb: "Fate is the hand you're dealt; Free Will is how you choose to play the hand."

No, I don't believe in fate or destiny............... As Ar-Cunnin said, it is all down to luck, stats, odds, maths, science, whatever you want.

maybe you could stat up the odds of em deciding to shave or deciding what to have for dinner, but it is nto CAUSED by maths, but by human choice
