MAC RULES, I have a PC to play games thats all its good for Games In the Real world MAC's wipe the floor with PC'S no hidden crap to search for to turn on or off, problem with a program just throw away the preferances and restart the progam and your up and running in 3 secs. I've got an old 604 chip(21/2generations old, came out when P2 were around and P3 were just a dream) 200 Mhz I'll put up against a P3 or Celeron3 400Mhz any time in graphics progams
Mac's RULE! WINDOW'S DROOL
I can reload my entire system and not lose a byte
Macs do all the computer stuff themselves and free you up to do your stuff
Now if only the Apple Execs had a brain in 1984...

...Well as they say the rest is history

I've been using Macs in recording studios for years, but I recently got given a Titanium G4 Powerbook.

I've previously owned Amigas and PCs, and always desktops, so I'm excited about this sexy beast to say the least!

I'm still finding my way around it, and trying to negotiate some new music software I got with it. But I reckon on design alone the Apples are much nicer. They just feel user friendly. They're stylish. iTools rocks as well. So does the speech commands. I changed the command word from "computer" to "Hal" just for kicks.

"Hal, close this application" It refused.... (maybe it didn't recognise the word Hal..... yeah, that must have been it, right?)

The game situation is a bit suckish though. Gives me a similar feeling to the last days of Amiga...

Let us know what you find Charean. I found BGII on Mac and some good games down near Brooklyn Bridge, but no ToB. Is ToB on the Mac yet?

Anyhow for music there's no comparison really. Though I used to get good results from my PC system, in terms of speaking with other studios it's much easier to be on Mac. Macs recognise Aiffs, SDIIs AND Wavs, whereas PCs only recognise Wavs, so it's a one way transfer street.

Dang!!! A Titanium G4??? OMG... Now that one is one SEXY! beast

It may not be as good as a desktop PC for games, but for other things, like writing, or whatever while in a coffee shop or something really beats that part!

Yeah I got a G4 iMacith DVDR, G3 Laptop with DVD player and 3rd generation lime iMac with CD burner add all of their Mhx together and y ou've got the raw potential of a 1.5 Gighx comp, too bad they're 3 seperate units, thoguht I do tend to use them simultaneousley ^_^;

I really love the art you can do with them and just paint! I impress alot of PC users lol..

as far as MAC GAMING is concerned..
http://www.gameRanger.com/

just... GO there...
It's got more people on right now playing QUAKE 3 than GAMESPY!! +They cover all mac games new and old, and even if the games don't COME with net-expansion you can PLAY them over this!! (Is an Ares-Champ) they even do Total Annihilation (I worked on porting it to GR myself actually) and Red Faction!

Diablo Expansion is out for mac but I dunnow where you'd find it in a store, i'd just order it from amazon.com if i wanted it real bad...

Heh well that's all I have to say I guess

0.o In Startrek 5 Scotty tried to use a mac and he knew how to surf the net by just using two fingers on the keyboard!

However, it turns out that in the future the number of buttons on mice will be reduced from one... to zero... Hence: more buttons on your mice, the worse the actual computer is...
