Just to be fair to all involved, I went to the site and listened to all the tracks.
Please understand, I personally consider this genre of 'music' to be painful noise much like tomcats fighting under the moonlight. I listed to Raid in Moonlight first. Couldn't understand the beginning lyrics. To say the music is dissonant is giving it entirely too much credit. But the lyrics lured me in and I found myself actually singing along--changing the tune so that at least it had a semblance of music to it. The rest? Well, "Underdark" defies explanation. It would drive me psychotic long before the actual Underdark would! Lore wasn't too awful. Lastborn was hilarious. Grand Melee was about 4 minutes too long (it's roughly 4min. 22 sec) Which one did I miss? Oh yes, the one where Drizzt and Malice face off. Too funny. The guy 'singing' really needs to stick to playing his guitar and keep his mouth shut as he couldn't carry a tune in a bucket! Seems like there should be one more, but it escapes me at the moment. All in all, the idea is revolutionary and *could* have been rather edifying. All that was needed was someone who knew how to play a musical instrument and someone who could sing.......

Just for the record, while I did enjoy reading the Drizzt books (in a similar kind of way that I enjoy watching As the World Turns), I can hardly be considered a fan of Salvatore's scribblings, and my reason for hating this music has nothing to do with any insult to Mr Salvatore's that I perceived. No, you can give the credit for that fully to this band's own inability to produce something that could be considered musical even by the most lenient of ears
