damn, come to think of it...

they reported the celebrations within couple hours after plane crash... how the news travel so fast to Palestane? and how do they film this and send the footage back so fast?

it is PROBALLY true, just they don't have enough time to send back the footage to make the effective impact, so they used the old ones?

Who knows what they were actually celebrating, if they were? Maybe it was somebody's birthday or something? And why did ap file a complaint then? if it didnt happen? Hmmm it must have happened, but who knows why? It was so soon after the events took place, does U.S. news travel that fast over there?

Interesting, seems that Newsmedia is being questioned full out finally. Here in Sweden during the Riots alot of newsmagazines were later blamed for having used photos that didnīt came from the event that the text described. The person that got shot for instance isnīt in the picture that "illustrates" the event.

I have also heard alot of rumours about the Palestinian celebrating. Though there is some interviews later on that shows that Palestinians are more or less happy about the terrorbombing until they heard how many people that had died. Even the hardcore Palestininan got pale in the face and couldnīt say anything after that...

Media has alot of responsibility when it comes to show us the "truth" problem is that many of them are very interesting in selling their info and papers and so on...

Can be an interesting debate to follow. When I read conflict and peace management, they told us to always distrust newsmediacoverage to same degree. A typical fault is from the russian wa in Grozjny, where the media says that over 400 tanks arrived in one day, there were only 40 tanks, the rest APCīs and other vehicles... That is in millitary views alot of difference!

So donīt take anything for granted yet!

What I have heard was this. That there was celebration in the streets,to what extent who knows but even if those images were of it,it would still be a limited view. The reporters that shot actual footage were warned that if it aired thier lives could not be protected from parties that did not want it aired. So CNN aired old footage to portray what was happening, without endangering lives of field crews. If it were untrue that there was some celibration the statment that it was just children would not have been made,But I personally belive no footage should have been shown if it wasn't of the event without saying, this is from a simular event, this is not live footage, ect.without those disclaimers it discredits all reports from them,It makes you wonder is this live footage, are these accurate reports?I only hope that haveing the story the others didn't get wouln't effect the accuracy any more.In a case as horrific as this I would only hope that who got the story first and ratings wouln't play any more of a part.I'm still in a dazed kind of state about all of this so bear with me.My girlfrinds brother is still unaccounted for,and my close friend at work is on his way to Arlington just across the street from the pentagon where his brother in law was killed to bury him tommorrow.

The News media is not very trustworthy in most cases. They tend to twist and distort interviews and also pick and choose just what they want to show.

Example One:
CNN left coverage of the events on tuesday evening to go live to Kabul.
The imbecile doing the live report said He heard Cruise missles
flying overhead and crashing into the city. They showed the explosions and continued to let this "News Man" yak and quack about the USA attacking Kabul. After 5 minutes of this, someone finally accessed their brain and realized that the leader of the opposition was allegedly killed the day before by a suicide bomber. Then they asked their man on the scene and he was cleary surprised anyone would mention that.

Example Two:
George W. said that all this, the hunting for the culprits and searching for information, reminds him of the old west with the wanted posters. That is paraphrased from a radio report.

The TV News says:
President Bush says Bin Laden wanted Dead or Alive!

They completely distorted what the President said. But then again that's nothing new. That is not to say there aren't honest journalists out there. But when it comes to the electronic media it's always best to wait for confirmation.

I can also provide a link... http://members.home.com/chucklez/wtc/
This site has pictures of folks laying wreaths and flowers at various US Embassies. Including two Palestinian women laying flowers.
It should come as no surprise what-so-ever that not all Palestinians are overjoyed with these events.

Please keep in mind when you hear anything from here on out, wait for confirmation. The TV media is always in a hurry to get the "Breaking News" out to us. But they don't often have any better idea whats going on than you or I do.

Take Care and God Bless Us One and All.

This is exactly what my history teacher was saying when we asked him about it. He said that even if a *few* of the Palenstinians were celebrating, the media only decided to show those *few* Did they show all the others who were as shocked and angry as the rest of the world? NO!!!isgust:

I think the old addage "Beleive Half of what you read in the papers, and very little of what you see on TV news"
I think the attack was "Master minded by Rep. Condit with the news focused on terrorism he can now move the body in safety"

Well, I posted to this thread last night, hoping that this was not true, that CNN did not show footage from years ago, but making it look like it was recent, by throwing it in right in the middle of news re our recent attack. I mean, pretty much no other type of news has been shown lately for the past few days after the attack occurred except for things that related to the attacks on the WTC and Pentagon, so to show this footage right in the middle of all this would obviously make viewers think it was recent footage affilated with said attacks. Very discouraging I must say. I say this because to show said footage of "cheering" at our expense and to make us viewers think it was because of our recent attacks, is so manipulative. As so many viewers will get extremely angry, aka, "Kill Them ALL!". Also makes it look like the entire town is celebrating our American deaths, so it makes viewers hate said entire town. Stirs up shite is what it does. And to say that CNN just popped those clips off because they had nothing else onhand, still, they never said "this is footage from years ago", they made it look like here and now. Not to mention, as has been pointed out above, seems awful quick that they showed this footage, too quick for reporters to go there, film it, send it, and have it broadcast to be legit.

Are there people, big-wigs if you will, who run CNN, who just govern these things, and tries to manipulate things for us all to watch, because of his own personal opinions?

Dunno, but I am gravely dissappointed at CNN atm if this is truly the case...
