how would you fight with this party (and: cast & attack?!?!) - Page 2

well, changeing minsc from a ranger to a thief, then dual-classing him to a cleric is nowhere NEAR overpowered. as far as giving jaheira two-handed weapon style, and points in spears, well that works too. after all, i had her wielding a spear in bg1, where did those points go in bg2? did she just ditch them and learn something new? of course, she was about level 12 at the end of bg (exp-cap removed), but hey, who's complaining. then there is the fact that i gave the tome of intelligence to imoen in the first on, because i dualed her from a thief to a mage too, but i did it at level 12, not seven. so, shadowkeeper to the rescue again. i agree with you alson. i have owned this game since it came out, and beaten it repeatedly. this includes TOB, and im out for a change. good luck, and keep hacking!!!

well, thats not completely hacking...
after all, its hacking in the name of fun and it keeps the game balanced.

Sir Goulum has a thread specifically dedicated to creating custom items. It's probably on Page 2 by now, but shouldn't be hard to find.

Also, Dakkon Darkblade has a thread called Jalerho's Super Magic Happy Fun Shop with a lot of custom items in it...but he is making Jalerho as a 3rd "Bonus Merchant", so a lot of the items in that thread will be available to purchase sometime soon.

AFA good fights early in the game.

1) The party in the inn at Waukeen's Promenade. The leader is a dwarf beserker (I think). There much tougher than the Circus.

2) The Sewer Party. Garuanteed to make you Re-load at least once (unless you don't mind losing a party member or two).

3) The Guarded Compound (also in Temple District) - if you don't know the location, then go from the Temple of Lathandar straight across the district. At the end of that path, turn left and then right again. That will put you at the door to the compound and that fight will take 2-3 Re-loads (at least it did for me).

heh, ok when i said "hacking" i meant as in hack and slash. slice and dice, etc. not as in cheating, lol. just thought i would point this out.
