hmmm... galactic civ 2.. coming out this month. *drool*
if you guys dont know that game.. check thier first one. Its a very healthy space game very similar to master of orion 2. Of course they are not an exact clone with the game having very special features such as random events, diplomacy relations and "no control" on the space battle", meaning computer AI computes for both of the fleets to avoid exploitation of the AI weakness. thier latest release are all in 3d.. and better still, the battles will be in 3d. some pics for good drooling ![]() ![]() ![]() [ 02-02-2006, 12:10 AM: Message edited by: Harkoliar ]

I think I played the first one a while. If it's the one I'm thinking of it was good.

The Elder's Scroll 4
Neverwinter Nights 2 I seriously hope there isn't a Baldur's Gate 3 in development. I really don't want them to take a really good series and drive it into the toilet (Ultima). Thank the gods (mostly Lathander -- Tyr didn't do ****!) that Wizardry ended the way it did. [ 02-06-2006, 04:19 PM: Message edited by: Dave G ]

You can put Might and Magic and Fallout in that category too, Dave.
I've heard rumblings that it will be a prequel, and if so, they can probably do a decent job of it, if they try. Although, I'm not really sure I could handle a BG game not in the Infinity Engine.

Prequel? ::cheers silently::
![]() Ever since Baldur's Gate 3 discussions started, I've posted my ideas about a prequel, so it's at least better than a follow-up about the children of the protagonist of BG1 and 2 -- you wouldn't believe as to how many people come up with lame ideas like that, when the Time of Troubles probably is the most interesting period of time in the whole of Faerun!

I agree, at least a prequel has the chance of being something at least half decent. It would be very difficult to make a sequel that made sense and was good.

Well, we'll see how Bioware does with Neverwinter Nights 2. I'd have the same problem as True_Moose, without the Infinity Engine, I'd feel so out of place with a new Baldur's Gate.
